Delegation of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan participates in the World Justice Forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The World Justice Forum 2022 has started in The Hague (Netherlands). It is the largest international event hosted by the World Justice Project (WJP), where prominent leaders from all parts of the world come together to articulate how the rule of law affects their disciplines and regions and develop joint action to strengthen the rule of law.

In 2022, the forum is dedicated to the legal aspects of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the post-pandemic period. According to the organizers, building just and healthy communities is unthinkable without a comprehensive rule of law agenda that addresses the root causes of the failure to achieve equal rights and human dignity for all.

Among the key issues on the agenda of this forum are: ensuring fair and effective access to justice for all; ensuring open and accountable government and combating corruption; protection of rights and elimination of systemic discrimination.

A delegation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan also participates in the forum. On 1 June, Minister of Justice Ruslanbek Davletov is scheduled to speak at the plenary session “Identifying What Works” (“Determining what works”).

During this session, participants will consider working approaches that can influence systemic changes in access to justice, the fight against corruption and the promotion of equality. Leaders from civil society, business and the justice sector will share their success stories and lessons learned for the rule of law movement.
