Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 October, a delegation led by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Seifulla Azimov visited Uzbekistan to participate in the third meeting of the Uzbek-Azerbaijani interdepartmental coordination working group. This was reported by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Sobirov and responsible heads of the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the two countries.

The parties discussed cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, including in the field of combating drug addiction, international terrorism and extremism, human trafficking and cybercrime.

In conclusion, the parties signed the Protocol of the event, which reflected the agreements reached.

During the visit, it is planned to familiarize the Azerbaijani delegation with the ongoing reforms in the field, including the study of activities to ensure the safety of tourism facilities.
