Delegation of MEDEF International visits Uzbekistan

The delegation led by acting director-general of MEDEF International Philippe Gautier included representatives of 20 French companies, working in aviation, banking, defense and security, environment, infrastructure, healthcare, telecommunication and transport.

The visit of the French delegation is continuation of the visit of Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev in March 2014 and his deputy Shavkat Tulyaganov in November 2014. Both of them were received at the Council of the heads of the enterprises “France-Uzbekistan” of MEDEF International at the events, dedicated to investment opportunities, economic perspectives and business climate in Uzbekistan.

During three day visit, the delegation was received by the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev.

On 11 June, the French delegation attended an Uzbek-French Business Forum, which was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan at participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, Ministry for development of information technologies and communication, Ministry of Healthcare, as well as other state committees, departments and companies of Uzbekistan.

The visit allowed to strengthen relations between MEDEF International and UzInfoInvest Agency, which signed a memorandum of understanding at the end of the forum.
