Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 November, a delegation of German businessmen led by the German Confederation of Knitwear Manufacturers Gesamtmasche, headed by the President of the Confederation Martin Bandte, visited Uzbekistan.
During a meeting with the chairman of the Uztekstilprom Association Ilkhom Khaydarov, the delegation thanked Uzbekistan for the invitation and noted that the changes in the country are amazing.
During the business meeting, the parties discussed the production and export potential of textile enterprises in Uzbekistan. In particular, measures were taken to increase the competitiveness of local brands in the EU countries through the effective use of the GSP + system.
The delegation also includes heads of large German and Austrian enterprises such as Triumph Holding AG, Falke, Nina Von C, Zwissler Holding AG, Mey GmbH & Co., Karl Conzelmann GmbH & Co, Bahner Strumpf GmbH. It should be noted that these enterprises previously used Uzbek textiles in their production and make a visit primarily to strengthen existing ties and find new partners.
Khaidarov expressed great confidence in the support of German partners in the effective use of the GSP + system provided by the European Commission and in accelerating the export of textiles, noting that in the future Uzbekistan could become a reliable partner along with giant textile countries.
For her part, Martina Bandte expressed confidence that Uzbekistan is strengthening its positions in the international arena, and that German partners will always support these changes and establish strong ties.
In order to get acquainted with the activities of enterprises located in the regions of the country, as well as study the export and investment potential, the delegation will visit more than 10 enterprises located in Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions.
