Deals for 126 billion soums registered at UZSE in Jan-May

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) registered deals for 126.2 billion soums in January-May 2018, which is 5 times higher than in the same period last year (for 5 months 2017 24.9 billion soums).

A total of 3,479.8 million shares were sold during the reporting period (for 5 months in 2017 – 1.039 million shares) of securities of 77 joint-stock companies.

The exchange said that about 77.2% of turnover or 97.4 billion soums fell to share of companies of financial sector, including 72.2% of deals or 91.1 billion soums with the securities of the banks.

Construction industry accounted deals for 9 billion soums or 7.1% of total turnover. Share of the agro-industrial complex made up 0.8% or 0.95 billion soums.

Share of the industrial sector was 0.3% in the turnover of the exchange or 0.35 billion soums.
