Davis Cup: Dustov loses, Istomin wins

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first day of the tie between Uzbekistan and Australia within the second round of Davis Cup in the Group I of Asia/Oceania zone ended in Namangan. After the first day, the score in the tie is 1-1.

Uzbekistan number two Farrukh Dustov suffered a defeat at the hand of the Australian number one Bernard Tomic - 6:7(6), 4:6, 4: 6.

In the second match, Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin outplayed Marinko Matosevic in four sets - 6:4, 7:6(1), 3:6 and 6:4.

Farrukh Dustov and Istomin will be back on court tomorrow for the doubles, while Australia will field a fresh pairing, Lleyton Hewitt and Matthew Ebden.
