Dal Engineering Group Plans to Launch Sandwich Panel Production in Angren SEZ

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 October, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan with a delegation from the Turkish company Dal Engineering Group, led by Chairman of the Board Cevdet Dal.

Founded in 1985 and based in Istanbul, Dal Engineering Group is one of Turkey’s leading engineering companies. The company’s assets are valued at nearly US$1 billion, and it employs around 500 specialists.

In Uzbekistan, the company is implementing two major projects: a white cement plant producing grades 500 and 600, valued at US$10 million with an annual capacity of 70,000 tons and employing 110 specialists; and a metal structures manufacturing facility worth US$15.8 million, producing 12,000 tons annually with a staff of 370 employees.

During the meeting, discussions focused on supporting manufacturers of import-substituting products, creating additional conditions for foreign investors, and resolving current issues related to the company’s operations in the country.

Particular attention was given to the implementation of the second phase of the project in the Angren Free Economic Zone, which involves establishing sandwich panel production. Following the negotiations, the parties reached an agreement to intensify joint efforts to further expand cooperation and advance new investment initiatives.
