Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Customs duties on auto import will be revised in Uzbekistan. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov stated this.
According to him, the issue of this is most relevant in connection with Uzbekistan's plans to join the WTO and strengthen ties with the EAEU, Sputnik reported.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: today several car manufacturers are entering the Uzbek market at once. This will undoubtedly become a driver for the development of the automotive industry.
“However, in general, I agree that there should not be a monopoly in the automotive industry in Uzbekistan,” Umurzakov said.
