Currently, Emergency Medical Aid service has about 2800 special vehicles

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - It is no secret that in most countries where medicine is developed, the population has access to paid services or medical insurance in the emergency and ambulance system. In our country, this system is fully funded from the state budget.

In recent years, funding for this service has increased. Currently, the minimum cost of drugs for each call is set at an average of 5,400 soums. For comparison, in 2016 this figure was 748 soums, and in 2017 - 1,627 soums.

In recent years, much attention has been paid to the purchase of specialized vehicles from the State budget and to meeting the needs of the regions in this vehicle. In particular, in 2019, the number of modern specialized vehicles in the ambulance service was 2403, and in 2020 their number was close to 2800.

Most of these vehicles are equipped with ventilators, ECGs, mechanical suction, defibrillators, and immobilization splints. The level of equipping emergency medical services with walkie-talkies and tablets is also growing throughout the country. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of the GPS system in all ambulances, which provides convenient communication and fast direction of the vehicle along the desired route.

Currently, there is one specialized ambulance for every 13 thousand people in the country. If you look at the experience of developed countries, they have one vehicle for 20-25 thousand people.
