Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A criminal case has been initiated in Uzbekistan against a blogger known by the pseudonym “Abdullo,” according to a statement from the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs (MDIA).

The incident occurred between October and November 2024, when the 26-year-old blogger, while residing in South Korea, published several videos on social media containing offensive remarks directed at Uzbek citizens. His statements were deemed potentially inflammatory, capable of inciting interethnic hatred, insulting national values, and violating citizens' rights based on their religious beliefs.

The blogger returned to the Tashkent region on 25 March 2025, where he was detained by law enforcement officers. During interrogation, he stated that the videos were created to attract attention on social media, expressed remorse, and apologized for his actions.

A criminal case has been opened under relevant articles of the law, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
