Creation of decent works discussed in Tashkent

The round table was organized by Uzbekistan Trade Union Federation. It was attended by MPs of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, representatives of relevant ministries and departments, trade unions, experts of the International Labour Organization and the International Trade Unions Confederation.

During the round table, it was noted that full effective employment, favourable conditions for workers, timely payment make up bases for decent work. The decent work is one of main factors for stable growth and development.

Senior specialist of ILO bureau for Central Asia and East Europe Sergius Glovackas said that high level of social partnership between government, trade unions and employers enables broadening scales of creating decent work conditions, which is rare in other countries. He also praised activities of the Uzbek Trade Unions on defending social-economical interests and labor rights of workers.
