Crash in Andijan Region Kills Two Brothers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A road accident in the Shahrihan district of Uzbekistan’s Andijan region has claimed the lives of two brothers, according to the Millar television program.
The crash occurred on 2 March at around 23:00. According to preliminary information, a 32-year-old driver of a Cobalt lost control of the vehicle and collided with another Cobalt traveling in the opposite lane.
As a result of the collision, a 16-year-old passenger in the second car died at the scene, while his older brother later died in hospital.
A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, which covers violations of traffic safety or vehicle operation rules resulting in a person’s death. An investigation is underway.
