Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Measures to combat the coronavirus infection will not affect the movement of foreign trade goods, the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
As you know, on 15 March, the Uzbek government decided to temporarily suspend the movement of citizens and passenger vehicles at state border crossing points from 16 March 2020.
In this regard, the committee states that "these restrictions do not apply to persons and vehicles involved in the carriage of goods by road, rail, sea, river, air, and the movement of foreign trade goods."
Persons and vehicles carrying out these transportation will be allowed to move around the republic only after proper checks and procedures at checkpoints.
The State Customs Committee also said that it was ready to cooperate with the media and representatives of the general public in the publication of objective and reliable information on the activities of customs authorities.
