Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 23 January 2020, the intersectoral cooperation forum Cooperation Lab with the participation of manufacturers of equipment, components, raw materials and materials was held on the territory of the UzAuto Market innovation platform of Uzavtosanoat.

The main goal of the forum is to facilitate the reduction of imports, the use of local basic raw materials and basic materials, both in the automotive industry and in other industries, to increase the level of localization of manufactured products, as well as the development of intersectoral cooperation.

The event involves the interaction of potential partners in the form of open communication, discussion, as well as demonstration of localization projects and opportunities for cooperation with enterprises of the domestic automobile industry.

An exhibition pavilion worked at the forum site, where component parts, raw materials and materials imported by Uzavtosanoat and other companies to the car market of Uzbekistan were presented. These products are exhibited in order to demonstrate the volumes and possible directions of their production in Uzbekistan, including the existing production facilities of manufacturing enterprises.

The forum was attended by all representatives of business organizations, industrial enterprises, other interested parties.

One of the priority tasks posed by Uzavtosanoat today is to unite enthusiastic companies forming new trends in the development of domestic industry based on modern requirements, the principles of high competitiveness and expanding the range of products.

It should be noted that today the level of localization in the Uzavtosanoat system exceeds 50%. Most enterprises are located in the Ferghana Valley. More than 50% of the total number of components used in the assembly of cars and commercial vehicles is produced at their production facilities.

Uzbekistan today is the only manufacturer of a full range of cars and commercial vehicles in Central Asia. Currently, the industry has about 90 enterprises that are part of the company, as well as established cooperation with more than 200 foreign partner structures.
