Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- With the support of the Uzbek Embassy in Delhi, on 17 February, a video conference was held between the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan and representatives of the India-Uzbekistan Friendship Society.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Committee Rustambek Kurbanov, Chairman of the India-Uzbekistan Friendship Society Anil Kumar Shastri, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov and Counselor of the Indian Embassy in Uzbekistan Shypra Gosh.

The participants of the online meeting discussed plans for joint events aimed at further accelerating the development of relations in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. In particular, the possibilities of exchange programs between professors and students of universities of the two countries, work on joint literary publications and translations, organization of photo exhibitions were studied.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed, covering all the above areas.
