Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Innovation Center under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan are inviting to contribute to the greening of the bottom of the Aral Sea.

Tree planting is carried out as part of the My Garden in the Aral Sea agricultural and ecotourism project, launched earlier this year in order to improve the ecological situation in the region and attract tourists to the region.

According to the project, it is planned to plant 100 thousand tree seedlings at the bottom of the Aral Sea during 2020, including desert, ornamental and coniferous trees of valuable species. In particular, it is planned to plant tree species resistant to climatic conditions of the region - ash, elm, catalpa, willow, saxaul, Circassian, kandym and others.

To support the project, international and local investors are involved, and within its framework more than 900 decorative and fruit trees have already been planted in the Aral Sea.
