Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14-15 October 2019, a delegation of the Uztekstilprom Association stayed in the Republic of Azerbaijan as part of the 7th summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries.

On 14 October, in the framework of the VII Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council), a business forum of entrepreneurs of Turkic-speaking states (CCTS) was held in the Azerbaijani capital. A delegation of the Uztekstilprom Association took part in the work of this forum.

During the stay, delegations held negotiations with representatives of the textile industry of Azerbaijan LLC “BAKIN TEXTILE FACTORY”, LLC “GILTEX”, LLC “NOOR GROUP” on the establishment of direct cooperation with domestic enterprises, including through production cooperation, the supply of Uzbek textile products.

As a result of the event, export contracts were concluded for the supply of textile and sewing-knitwear products for a total amount of US$9.2 million, of which worth more than US$6.1 million, ready-made garments, hosiery and carpet products.

In addition, as a result of negotiations with companies GILTEX LLC and BAKIN TEXTILE FACTORY LLC, memorandums of understanding were signed on the development of bilateral cooperation.
