Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan, construction work for 77.99 trillion soums were carried out in January-November. The growth rate compared to the same period of last year reached 8.7%, while the share of small enterprises and microfirms made up 55.6%.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in general, as of early December, the number of enterprises and organizations in the construction sector reached 40,700 and compared to the same period of last year, it increased by 4,400.

Of the total number of construction enterprises, 58.1% are related to the construction of buildings and structures, 9.3% - to the construction of civil facilities, 32.6% are specialized construction work.

Most of the construction enterprises in Uzbekistan are located in the city of Tashkent - 7,804, Tashkent (3,540), Kashkadarya (3,285) and Fergana (3,211) regions.

A significant part of the work was carried out in January-November for the construction of new buildings and structures. Thus, 70.4% of the total volume of construction work, or 54 882.5 billion soums, were directed to the creation of new production facilities in the economy, housing and communal services and other social facilities.
