Construction of new cement plant starts in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Construction of new plant on production of cement began in Pap district of Namangan region.
According to UzA, a ceremony of laying foundation of the Uzbek-Chinese-Arabian joint venture Popcement was held in Pap district.
The enterprise is created on the base of former Uzruberoid. The construction-assembly works at the enterprise will be completed in September 2018.
The project cost is US$50 million. The enterprise will produce up to 500,000 tonnes of cement a year based on local raw materials.
