Construction materials’ output grows by 44% in Uzbekistan in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Construction materials industry of Uzbekistan produced goods for 708.4 billion soums in January-March 2013, which rose by 44% year-on-year, the information service of the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan increased production of sandwich panels (75.2%), dry construction mixtures, assembly foam by 71.4%, limestone by 8.4%, gypsum stone by 48.1%, asbestos-cement pipes and sleeves by 25%, ceramic tiles for internal wall facing by 31.6%.

At the same time, the enterprises increased production of crushed stone (5.9 times), gravel (3.6 times), kaolin (2.4 times), asphalt (2.3 times), concrete (+9.8%), precast concrete components (+3.7%), and sand (+3.1%).
