Colder Weather and Snowfall Expected Across Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — After a period of milder temperatures, Uzbekistan is forecast to experience an influx of cold and humid air masses.

According to Uzhydromet, on 27–28 January, cold air will begin moving into the country from regions of Russia, with precipitation expected in the form of rain transitioning to snow in several areas.

On 29–30 January, the air masses will shift eastward. Snowfall is expected in some central and eastern regions.

During this period, temperatures will gradually decrease. Nighttime temperatures are forecast to range from –2 to –5°C, with daytime highs between +3 and –2°C.

In northern regions, nighttime lows could reach –8 to –13°C, with daytime temperatures between –3 and –8°C. Mountainous areas remain at risk of avalanches.
