Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Two citizens addressed law enforcement agencies of Samarkand region with a statement asking them to take action against a group of people from Navoi region who promised to sell them gold powder for US$50,000.

In the course of an operational operation carried out by the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the Samarkand region, six people were detained in the Yangiobod mahalla of Samarkand region while receiving US$50,000 for 11.575 kg of gold powder.

The case is under investigation.
