Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Summons issued to citizens of Uzbekistan in Oryol region of Russia have been withdrawn, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia said in a statement.

Earlier, the media reported that Uzbeks working at the Ecocity waste processing plant received mobilization summonses.

The diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan notes that the mobilization summons were sent to 26 citizens of Uzbekistan due to a technical error. After checking the documents in the military commissariat, the summons were withdrawn and the issue was settled.

“In connection with the announcement of partial mobilization, there are facts of receipt by the citizens of Uzbekistan of summons on technical errors. As a rule, in all such cases, mobilization summons are withdrawn after verification of documents,” the Embassy notes.
