Citizens employed in home-based work will receive tax benefits

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Subsidies and concessional lending are also provided for both homeworkers themselves and for entrepreneurs organizing this form of work.

1. Tax incentives

From 1 July 2022 to 1 January 2025, homeworkers pay:

Personal income tax at a rate reduced by 50%, but not more than 1 million soums per month;

social tax - at the rate for the self-employed (not less than 0.5 sizes of basic estimated value per year)

2. Subsidies

Entrepreneurs who organize homework in mahallas in remote and hard-to-reach regions will receive:

one-time subsidies for the first 3 months of home-based work of each homeworker in the amount of his average monthly income;

a subsidy to cover up to 50% of the cost of acquiring equipment for homeworkers included in the Iron Notebook, Women's Notebook, Youth Notebook or the Unified Register of Social Protection (but not more than 10 sizes of basic estimated value).

3. Loans

Entrepreneurs with at least 10 homeworkers involved, operating in mahallas according to the List, are subject to the benefit of clause 4 No. PP-5214 from 08/05/2021 - a guarantee from the State Fund for Entrepreneurship Support for 75% of the loan amount.

The loan is provided for up to 3 years at a rate of 10% per annum in the amount of up to 2 billion soums for each mahalla.
