Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A citizen of Uzbekistan, wanted for human trafficking, was detained in Malaysia.
Accompanied by employees of the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Uzbekistan, a citizen of Uzbekistan was extradited from Kuala Lumpur to Tashkent.
The Uzbek citizen was wanted through Interpol channels by our law enforcement agencies for human trafficking and who had been hiding in Malaysia for a long time under changed personal data. This was reported by the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Thanks to joint actions and operational information support between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Tashkent and Kuala Lumpur, as well as with the direct assistance of representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, it was possible to identify the person and take her into custody.
After the decision of the Malaysian authorities to extradite the wanted woman, accompanied by Interpol officers, the criminal was taken to Uzbekistan to serve a well-deserved punishment.
