Cilic defeats Istomin in Chennai Open

Third-seeded Marin Cilic of Croatia scored straight-set victory on Thursday in the Chennai Open in India.
Cilic took down Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 6-0, 6-4 to advance to the quarterfinals of the event, which is considered a tuneup for the upcoming Australian Open.
Istomin received a wildcard to Australian Open on Tuesday from the organizers of the tournament.
