The publications reported that President Xi Jinping arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit on 15 September. Fruitful talks were held between the heads of the two countries. The parties thoroughly considered further ways to strengthen the Uzbek-Chinese relations of comprehensive strategic partnership.

“During the meeting, it was noted that last year the trade turnover reached a record US$8 billion, and has increased by more than 30 percent since the beginning of this year,” Chinese media write. - Over the past five years, the volume of investments in the economy of Uzbekistan has exceeded US$10 billion. It is reported that following the results of negotiations between the President of Uzbekistan and the President of the People’s Republic of China, a solid package of bilateral documents was adopted. Agreements were signed in the field of trade, economic, investment, financial and technical cooperation on the implementation of priority projects totaling US$15 billion.
