Chinese Investors from Gansu Province View Uzbekistan as a Pharmaceutical Hub for Central Asia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 3 June, Abdullah Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry, held a meeting with a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs from Gansu Province.
During the visit, the Chinese side was introduced to the current status and development prospects of the innovative scientific and production pharmaceutical cluster, Tashkent Pharma Park, as well as to the government support measures and favorable conditions established for foreign investors.
Representatives of the Chinese business community expressed particular interest in the opportunities created in Uzbekistan, noting that they see the country as a promising platform for the entire Central Asian region and a potential regional pharmaceutical hub.
During the negotiations, the Chinese investors showed interest in implementing joint projects involving the cultivation of medicinal plants in Uzbekistan, as well as the production of finished pharmaceutical products.
Both parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation in these areas.
