Chinese company to supply 300 catterpillar tractors to Uzbekistan

The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on purchase of agriculture catterpillar tractors”. The document was adopted in order to equip agriculture sector with modern highly productive catterpillar tractors, which meet world standards and regional peculiarities of agriculture lands.

According to the resolution, the Government agreed with proposal of Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management, Ministry of Economy, Councils of Farmers of Uzbekistan and Association Uzagromashservis to purchase some 300 units of YTO-C1302 (YTO-C1402) catterpillar tractors from China without holding tender in 2013.

Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan was entrusted to assist enterprises of Association Uzagromashservis to sign agreement on purchase of tractors with China National Machinery Industry Corporation.

The agreement on purchase of catterpillar tractors will be financed due to loans of commercial banks and resources of leasing companies.

The resolution said that Association Uzagromashservis should sign agreements on purchase of Chinese tractors within 10 day period and sell purchased equipment to farmers of Uzbekistan. The association will also organize trainings on use of tractors for farmers.

Association Uzagromashservis should also organize service and training centers in the regions of Uzbekistan.
