Chinese brand "Tulpor" enters Uzbek market with tractor production
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Chinese company plans to launch tractor production under the "Tulpor" brand in the Fergana region, according to the regional administration’s press service.
Fergana region’s governor, Khayrullo Bozorov, held talks with Chinese investor Yuan Yanping to discuss the project’s launch in the industrial zone of Kuvasay. The total investment amounts to $100 million, with $30 million allocated for the first phase.
As part of the partnership, a joint venture for tractor production has been registered. Several models under the national brand "Tulpor" are set for release by the end of the year.
To power the plant, solar panels with a capacity of 2 MW will be installed on its roof.
The project will be implemented in two phases: the first involves building the tractor manufacturing plant, while the second focuses on producing and servicing components. Smart technologies will be used to enhance efficiency and product quality.
The tractors will be supplied to both domestic and international markets, with 250 jobs to be created in the initial phase.
During the meeting, the governor provided recommendations for the project's prompt launch and instructed relevant officials to establish effective cooperation with Chinese investors.
