China’s Foreign Trade Grows by 2.9% in First Half of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to data released by the General Administration of Customs of China, the country’s total foreign trade volume reached 21.79 trillion yuan (approximately US$3.05 trillion) in the January–June 2025 period, marking a 2.9% increase compared to the same period last year, Xinhua News Agency reports.
The agency noted that the growth rate of foreign trade turnover accelerated from the 2.5% recorded in the first five months of the year.
During the reporting period, China’s exports grew by 7.2%, while imports declined by 2.7%.
This growth in foreign trade, despite ongoing global economic volatility, reflects the resilience of China’s manufacturing and export model, as well as the continued expansion of the country’s foreign economic relations.
