China provides grants for US$73.53m to Uzbekistan

China provided US$48 million to implementation of the project “Improving quality of education on such subjects as Information and Foreign Languages for 5-8 classes”. The project will be implemented in three phases and each phase it is planned to equip over 1,300 classes with multimedia equipment.

About US$25.539 million were allocated to realization of the project “Improving quality of teaching foreign languages in 1-4 classes of general educational schools of Uzbekistan”. The project will be implemented in two phases and directed at equipping classes with modern information-communication equipment.

The projects were included to programme of technical cooperation of Uzbekistan with the partner states and international financial institutions for 2014-2016.
