Channel 4 to Premiere Documentary on Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, 18 October, at 19:00 London time, the British Channel 4 will premiere the documentary film “Uzbekistan: The Golden Road,” produced with the initiative of the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee and the Agency for Strategic Reforms.
The film, created by renowned British scholar, writer, and TV presenter Bethany Hughes, is part of the “Treasures of the World” series, which highlights the planet’s most remarkable cultural and historical landmarks.
This episode focuses on Uzbekistan’s rich historical and natural heritage, its architecture, the Great Silk Road, and contemporary transformations that position the country as one of the fastest-growing cultural tourism destinations.
Combining artistic cinematography, modern visual technologies, and the presenter’s analytical perspective, the documentary offers British and international audiences a fresh view of Uzbekistan as both a center of ancient civilization and a country experiencing modern revival.
The film is also scheduled to be broadcast soon on Uzbek national television channels.
