Chambers of Commerce of Uzbekistan and Qatar discuss expanding cooperation and investments
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Qatar Chamber of Commerce (QC) discussed ways to expand cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan during a meeting between Mohamed bin Jawahir Al Mohamed, a member of the QC Board, and Alisher Shaikhov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Uzbek Chamber.
The talks took place on the sidelines of the Second Session of the Qatar–Uzbekistan Joint Committee on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation in Tashkent. The sides discussed mechanisms to strengthen trade and economic ties between the two countries and identified promising areas for interaction and investment between the private sectors of Qatar and Uzbekistan.
Mohamed bin Jawahir praised the strength of bilateral relations and emphasized the mutual commitment to expanding cooperation. He highlighted the importance of engagement between the two chambers of commerce in exploring investment opportunities and stimulating economic exchange.
During the meeting, Mohamed proposed organizing a “Made in Uzbekistan” exhibition in Qatar to help Uzbek companies expand their presence in the Qatari market and the wider Gulf region.
In his remarks at the Second Session of the Joint Committee, Mohamed expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for facilitating investment opportunities and joint projects, reaffirming the Qatar Chamber’s readiness to support private-sector cooperation between the two countries through partnership initiatives serving their mutual economic interests.
