Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 March, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with a delegation led by the President of the State Audit Office of Hungary, László Windisch.

László Windisch highlighted the significant reforms underway in Uzbekistan and emphasized the country’s good-neighborly relations and open, pragmatic foreign policy on the international stage.

The meeting focused on the longstanding ties of friendship and brotherhood between Uzbekistan and Hungary, as well as the historical significance of their bilateral relations.

Discussions also covered strategic cooperation, which continues to develop through the efforts of both countries’ leaders. Particular attention was given to joint projects in trade, economic, and water management sectors, along with efforts to enhance interregional dialogue.

Additionally, the parties exchanged views on state-level oversight and the development of inter-parliamentary relations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementing planned initiatives.
