Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 10 December 2020, the II International Ratings Forum was held online.

It was attended by representatives of the government of our state, researchers and international experts.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva, who spoke about the assessment of the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan.

Thus, it was noted that from the first days of independence, Uzbekistan has demonstrated adherence to universal and democratic values, the state policy on ensuring the fundamental rights of citizens, protecting their lives, freedom, honor, dignity and other inalienable rights has reached a new level.

Attention was focused on the adoption of the National Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Human Rights, as well as the exclusion of the United States of our country from the "list of countries under special supervision" on freedom of religion.

In order to improve the country’s role in international ratings and indices by ensuring parliamentary control over the ongoing reforms, a fundamentally new mechanism has also been introduced, a republican council headed by parliament has been created. This Council conducts a systematic analysis of problems arising in the socio-economic, political and legal spheres. To eliminate them, effective measures are being taken, information from members of the government is heard.

In addition, it was noted that for the first time the country was recognized in the indices of industrial competitiveness and regulatory restrictions on foreign direct investment. Uzbekistan’s position has improved in a number of such ratings as doing business, economic freedom, logistics efficiency, and risk classification for countries.

During the event, they also spoke about the economic measures taken by Uzbekistan and their impact on international rankings and indices.
