Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - This week, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva visited the Republic of Karakalpakstan and got acquainted with a number of promising projects being implemented in the region.

In particular, the Chairman of the upper chamber of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva and the Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan M. Kamalov visited Beruniy district.

The first point of the trip is the aul gathering of citizens "Oltinsoy". In this area, at the end of 2020, the State Customs Committee installed filters to obtain clean drinking water and solved the problem of the local population associated with drinking water.

The Chairperson of the Senate T. Narbaeva met with the residents of the region and listened to their appeals, gave instructions to the relevant officials to eliminate the problems of citizens.

In addition, the Chairperson of the Senate met with a group of women activists at the Youth Center of Beruniy District.

It should be noted that at present in our country priority attention is paid to the protection of the rights and interests of women, and measures are being taken to fully support them. So, in 2020, Beruniy district was taken as an exemplary territory for the formation of a "women’s notebook" and a "youth notebook". And this task was accomplished perfectly. At present, practical work has begun in accordance with the "Road Map" to ensure self-employment and employment of women.

During the meeting, the Chairperson of the Senate presented to low-income women and women with disabilities certificates of payment of the initial payment of housing. In addition, she presented sewing machines, mini-ovens, women’s hairdressing equipment to a group of women included in the “women’s notebook”, as well as valuable gifts to active women who had worked for many years at Beruniy Textile Invest enterprise.

The visit of the Chairperson of the Senate began with the opening of a training center for professions "Dinur-jobs" in the district. It trains 10 types of professions. 135 unemployed persons of the district are undergoing professional retraining, who want to study other professions and are included in the “iron notebook”, “women’s notebook”, “youth notebook”, as well as previously trained in other specialties.

Citizens who studied at the center and received certificates have the opportunity to obtain soft loans from commercial banks, and unemployed persons will be able to provide themselves with work and start a business.

After that, the Chairperson of the Senate T. Narbaeva met and talked with 20 low-income and large families included in the “women’s notebook”. During the meeting, she heard the addresses of women and gave instructions to the relevant responsible workers. They also received gifts.
