Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection Alisher Maksudov has been relieved of his post.

Maksudov’s resignation was announced on 24 August at a video conference on environmental priorities chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Alisher Maksudov was dismissed for systemic problems in the field and for shortcomings in his work.

Alisher Maksudov worked as the chairman of the State Committee for Ecology since November 2020.
