Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva visited Andijan region.
During her visit, the Chairperson of the Senate met with deputies of the Buston District Kengash of People’s Deputies and local activists.
The population of the district is 71.8 thousand people, the total number of families is 18.6 thousand, of which the number of low-income families is 1283.
A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On approval of additional measures for socio-economic development and poverty reduction in Buston district of Andijan region in 2020-2022" was adopted. Within the framework of this decree, in 2020-2022, 20 investment projects worth more than 432.1 billion soums will be implemented in the region and 1,423 new jobs will be created. It is planned to reconstruct and overhaul 7 kindergartens for 870 places, 7 schools for 3 thousand 52 places, 6 health care institutions.
At the same time, 1 sports facility and 14 other facilities will be built and reconstructed, 130 km of internal roads and national roads will be repaired. In order to improve the supply of natural gas to 2,300 households, to correctly calculate the volume of natural gas supplied, modern electronic gas meters will be installed in each apartment. The existing 195 gas distribution devices will be put in order.
153.6 billion soums will be allocated from the state budget to implement these tasks.
The chairman of the upper chamber of the Oliy Majlis stressed that all these efforts are aimed, first of all, at ensuring human interests. They also spoke about the implementation of parliamentary control over the progress of work in this direction.
- Of course, all this work is done to improve the living standards of the population of the Buston region, create favorable living conditions and socio-economic development of the region, - said Senate Chairman T. Narbaeva. - Therefore, the deputies of the local Kengash should actively participate in this process and show initiative. In addition, they must monitor and discuss the measures defined in the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers. In this regard, effective parliamentary control is crucial. In turn, it is necessary to consider the execution of the resolution at a meeting of the local Kengash of people’s deputies once a month, to hear reports from the heads of the relevant spheres.
During the meeting, the deputies of the Buston District Kengash of People’s Deputies expressed various proposals.
