Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 December, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz Mehriddin Abdullayev and General Director of NIPIneftegaz SOCAR (Azerbaijan) F. Ismayilov.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation between the companies.

It should be noted that NIPIneftegaz SOCAR carries out geological and geophysical studies of prospective structures and oil and gas fields, being the main scientific base of the national oil and gas company of the Republic of Azerbaijan SOCAR.

The Institute is actively involved in the development of fields and the design of oil and gas refineries. The institute has more than 80 laboratories and departments engaged in research, design and engineering.

Within the framework of the meeting, Uzbekneftegaz JSC and NIPIneftegaz SOCAR paid attention to the possibility of joint implementation of projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of oil and gas, in particular, the possibility of using technologies and experience of Azerbaijani colleagues in the field of drilling and complex workover of wells.

In conclusion, F. Ismayilov congratulated Uzbekneftegaz and the entire Republic of Uzbekistan on the launch of a unique plant for the production of 1.5 million tons of synthetic liquid fuel based on GTL (Gas To Liquid) technology in Kashkadarya region, designed to become the center of the first single petrochemical cluster.
