Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 July 2021, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva met with the head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy in Central Asia (UNRCCA) Natalia Gherman.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation between UNRCCA and Uzbekistan.

It was noted that our country attaches special importance to the implementation in practice of UN resolutions and decisions, the development of cooperation in their implementation.

It was emphasized that within the framework of the UN activities, Uzbekistan puts forward a number of important and relevant initiatives, which reflecting the national interests of our country coincide with the positions of other member states.

Information was given on the transformations in our country, carried out in accordance with the Action Strategy in five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Including, on the elimination of the use of child and forced labor, protection of the rights and interests of women and others.

Gherman highly appreciated the foreign policy reforms carried out in the country, as a result of which a new political atmosphere of stability and good-neighborliness has been created in the Central Asian region.

The parties expressed their readiness to continue a systematic dialogue and strengthen cooperation.
