Centrum Holding Discusses Expansion of Aviation, Logistics, and Investment Cooperation with U.S. Ambassador

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 January, a working meeting took place at the office of Centrum Holding between the company’s leadership and a delegation from the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan, led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Jonathan Henick. From Centrum Holding, the talks involved Founder and CEO Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, as well as Co-founder and Shareholder Hafizjon Gafurov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between American companies and Centrum Holding enterprises in civil aviation, logistics, tourism, aviation personnel training, as well as investment and financial collaboration.

Centrum Holding presented its business structure, which includes the passenger airline Centrum Air, the cargo carrier My Freighter, logistics and tourism operations, and manufacturing enterprises. The company’s combined fleet currently totals 25 aircraft, with plans for further expansion.

Special attention was given to collaboration with American aviation equipment suppliers, including Boeing, to increase purchases and modernize the fleet. In particular, My Freighter’s cargo division is expected to receive five Boeing aircraft in 2026.

Regarding passenger transport, plans were discussed to enter the U.S. market to provide convenient air service for the Uzbek diaspora, tourists, and business travelers. Prospective routes include Samarkand–New York and Tashkent–Miami, with technical transit stops in Europe, including Lithuania.

In cargo operations, My Freighter already delivers goods to the U.S. under interline agreements with international carriers such as American Airlines and Delta Air Lines. The bulk of exports consists of Uzbek fruits and vegetables, which are in high demand in the American market.

The parties also discussed the creation of an aviation university in Uzbekistan in partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Florida, U.S.), which will train pilots, engineers, and technical specialists according to international standards, contributing to the development of professional personnel for the regional aviation industry.

Investment plans of the holding, including preparation for entering public capital markets, were also reviewed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in expanding practical cooperation and developing a long-term partnership between Uzbek and U.S. businesses.

“We see significant potential to deepen cooperation with American companies—not only in aviation and logistics, but also in education and investment. It is important for us to build long-term partnerships, attract advanced technologies and expertise, and create new opportunities for passengers, businesses, and Uzbekistan’s economy as a whole,” said Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov, Founder and CEO of Centrum Holding.
