Centrum Air adds first long-haul Airbus A330-300 to its fleet
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Private airline Centrum Air has expanded its fleet with its first long-haul wide-body aircraft, the Airbus A330-300, which arrived at Tashkent International Airport from Bangkok on 30 April, according to the company’s press service.
Centrum Air noted that the Airbus A330, with a seating capacity of 347 passengers, will be used for long-haul flights and the development of new international routes.
The airline’s current fleet consists of eight aircraft: five Airbus A320-200s, two A321neo jets, and the newly added A330-300. The average age of the fleet is just over 13 years. The airline expects to receive three more aircraft in the near future.
According to Planespotters.net, the aircraft was manufactured in Toulouse in late 2009. It was operated by Thai Airways until 2020 but remained grounded at Bangkok Airport from the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic until September 2024.
The aircraft’s most recent owner was the Irish leasing company Aergo Capital, from which it was reportedly leased.
