Central Asian states, US discuss cooperation issues
The meeting of the heads of foreign political bodies of Central Asia and the United States in the format of C5+1 was held in Hamburg (Germany) on 7 December.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on perspectives of cooperation in political, economic and other spheres.
Foreign Ministers of Central Asian states and the US State Secretary John Kerry noted mutual interest in further developing cooperation in this format.
The format С5+1was created in 2015. The US Secretary of State John Kerry held a meeting with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of five countries of Central Asia in New York. In November, Foreign Ministers of Central Asia and US Secretary of State John Kerry held C5+1 format meeting in Samarkand and adopted Samarkand declaration.
The second meeting was held in Washington (the United States) in August 2016.
