Center to support entrepreneurs with disabilities opened in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the days of the celebration of Navruz, Tashkent hosted the opening ceremony of the Center for the Support of Entrepreneurs of the Disabled and Persons with Disabilities, founded by the Social Tourism Association and the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The main goal of the Center is to conduct charity events for compatriots with disabilities and children from needy families.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov, Khokim of Tashkent city Jahongir Artykhodzhaev, representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Social Tourism Associations and the media

The main functions of the Center for the Support of Entrepreneurs of the Disabled and Persons with Disabilities:

implementation of joint projects for the development of inclusive tourism;

assistance in creating conditions for the movement of people with disabilities;

development of draft state programs, legal documents and other decisions in the field of social tourism and the implementation of public control;

study of the conditions created for people with disabilities at tourist sites;

development of convenient tourist routes in Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Karakalpakstan;

organization of charity events in cooperation with ministries and other state organizations

This center is located in the Navruz ethnopark in the house "Toshkent - 24".

The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, together with the Social Tourism Association, within the framework of the Sayohat barcha uchun project, organized two-day tourist trips to Samarkand and Bukhara for 50 people with disabilities.

During 2022, within the framework of this project, it is planned to organize trips for 200 people to Samarkand. It is assumed that 50% of the costs for tourists will be covered by grant funds, and 50% by charitable donations.
