Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Center for the development of clinical trials of medicines will be created in Uzbekistan.
To provide the Center with medical, clinical and laboratory equipment, loans from the Eximbank of South Korea will be directed. The cost of the project is US$125 million. As a result of its launch, 250 new jobs will be created.
This Center will perform the following tasks:
introduction of the organization of clinical trials of medicines in accordance with the requirements of international ethical and scientific standards;
development of clinical trials on the territory of the republic and coordination of the modernization of clinical facilities based on world standards;
organization of clinical trials of medicines in accordance with the requirements of "necessary clinical practice (GCP)";
determination of pharmacological bioequivalence of generics to original drugs;
conducting pharmacokinetic studies of drugs in subjects of clinical trials;
advanced training of medical personnel in the field of clinical trials;
implementation of international cooperation in the field of "necessary clinical practice (GCP)".
