Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Cabinet of Ministers adopted Resolution “On the activities of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence and International Assessment under the Agency of Presidential Educational Institutions.”

The document was adopted in accordance with the Presidential resolution “On additional measures to further improve the activities of presidential, creative and specialized schools.”

The Center for Pedagogical Excellence and International Assessment was established under the Agency of Presidential Educational Institutions with the status of a legal entity.

The center is a government agency.

The size of the authorized capital of the Center is determined by the Agency and is formed at the expense of the Fund for Supporting Talented Youth.

The Director of the Center is appointed and dismissed by the Agency.

Along with others, the following main tasks and directions of the Center's activities have been identified:

continuous professional development of managers and teachers in the Agency's system, organization of refresher courses in cooperation with international organizations;

assessment and certification of knowledge and skills of students in educational institutions of the Agency system in cooperation with international organizations;

final state certification of graduates of educational institutions of the Agency system and development and implementation of a national certification system;

implementation of innovative projects in the field of education and science;

development of state educational requirements for advanced training of teaching staff of the Agency system.

The following are identified as sources of financing for the Center:

income from the provision of services on a contractual basis, including educational;

funds of the Talented Youth Support Fund;

charitable donations from legal entities and individuals;

grants and funds for technical assistance to international financial organizations and foreign countries;

other sources not prohibited by law.

The structure of the Center was also approved. The Director of the Agency has the right, if necessary, to make changes to the structure of the Center within the total number of employees.

The center is located in the building of the IT-park on Makhtumkuli street of Yashnabad district of Tashkent city.
