Cashless Payments at Gas Stations Reach 41.9% in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, cashless payments at gas stations continue to increase their share in overall revenue.
As of 1–2 April 2026, cashless receipts accounted for 41.9% of the total volume, with the average daily revenue in March reaching 102.6 billion soums, of which 58.1% was received in cash.
On 1 April, gas stations recorded receipts of 93.2 billion soums, and on 2 April — 152.6 billion soums. More than 90% of one-day cashless transactions were made using active bank cards, including QR-code payments, confirming the growth of digital and online card usage.
Breakdown by type of cashless payment is as follows: QR-codes — 8.2 billion soums on 1 April and 7.7 billion soums on 2 April; instant cards — 1.6 billion soums and 3.6 billion soums; fuel cards — 2.4 billion soums and 2.5 billion soums; standard bank cards — 80.9 billion soums and 138.6 billion soums, respectively.
Banks and payment organizations continue to implement promotions, cashback programs, and new payment instruments, including instant and specialized cards.
