Cash Payments Banned on Bukhara City Buses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Cash payments for bus fares have been banned in the city of Bukhara, according to the press service of the Bukhara regional khokimiyat.

As part of the implementation of the new procedure, automated self-service information kiosks for the sale of electronic tickets will be installed at all bus routes and stops across the city within one month. The corresponding decision was signed by Bukhara regional khokim Botir Zaripov.

The fare for one passenger on city routes is set at 3,000 soums, including VAT, when paying through standard electronic payment systems.

When using the incentive discount via the ATTO system, the fare is reduced to 2,000 soums, including VAT.

In addition, a capped fare of 2,000 soums, including VAT, has been introduced for tariff plans calculated based on the number of trips.
