Car hijacked from Russia detained at Navoi post

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A car of Toyota Camry model was detained at Navoi customs post, the Uzbek Interior Ministry said.

During the inspection of the car at the customs post, it was found that the car was stolen in the Russian Federation.

The driver of the car was detained.

The State Customs Committee opened a criminal case, an investigation is underway.

The fact of the stolen car and the suspect was reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
